A LITTLE MORE JESUS IN WINTERY NAIROBI

sister sister.........
Howdie loves'

How you doin (in my Wendy Williams voice) coughs' I loves me some Wendy Williams; a little  Hot topics and that shoe cam so crazy makes for insanely good tv. Moving on; Nairobi for lack of a better word has been dreary. What's with the London zero degree weather that doesn't seem to end...yikes'? If you are like me and most of your stuff is summery then my amigo...you done went through a rough one looking for clothes to wear. I certainly have. Some days are really bad that i actually borrow issh from my sis (the jacket) to keep warm. hahaha

So last Saturday after work i went for the closing show of the Global Youth Camp which was exhilarating despite the chill. The youth camp was sponsored by GBS and it had been running for a whole week. I have previously attended but was only able to catch this one as it closed. This camps are so good; they nurture spiritual growth and seeing that i could use a little more Jesus i really needed that.

A choir from Korea wowed us;they were so freaking good. They first performed a stage play then sang some songs in Swahili;their diction was so on point. I get so challenged every time i see people get out of their comfort zone and not only learn but master something new. it is so damn inspiring.

I have been needing a spiritual reserve to tap into and i think am slowly getting there. I do believe in my heart that we all have our personal relationship with the big guy up there; the kind where you speak to him on a daily' he knows you more than any one else ever will so its good to bare it all with him (keep it 100)

So before Pastor Susan here gets all preachy and wang lang....lemmi sign out with a little note that; we could all use a little more Jesus and a little bit less of us... and the awesome sound of Chris August

"A Little More Jesus" Chris August
It was just last Sunday
I was sitting in the pew
The preacher told some stories
Yeah he spoke about the truth
Something resonated
I heard a million times before
Somehow I needed to hear it once more, he said

[Chorus:]
I could use a little more Jesus
And a little bit less of me
I could be a little more humble
If we're speaking honestly
The more I see this heart inside of me
The more that I believe
I could use a little more Jesus
And a little bit less of me

I try to love my neighbor
And love my enemy
I went down to the homeless shelter and I
Gave them food to eat
It made me feel so good inside
But it did not bring me peace
Turns out there's just one thing that I need

[Chorus]
We've got rules and regulations
Got a stance on everything
It gets so complicated
When all we really need

Is just a little more Jesus
And a little bit less of me
I could be a little more humble
If we're speaking honestly
The more I see this heart inside of me
The more that I believe
That I could use a little more Jesus
And a little bit less of me

[Chorus]
I could use a little more Jesus 3x
And a little bit less of me
I could use a little more Jesus 3x
And a little bit less of me
A little bit less of me
