YOU LOOK SO MUCH BETTER WHEN YOU SMILE..........

Hello lovelies

Hope all is well with y’all. I am doing quite well myself. So today on my way to work i bumped into my lovely neighbour and fellow blog follower ‘Angel Ivy Wanja ‘fyi y’all should drop by her blog ‘Diamond in The Rush” its amaze balls! This girl has a way of making me dream even bigger’ work even harder and believe even more that everything is eventually going to work out someday.......It is so damn good to have friends like this in our lives. They make you smile. So i say this to ‘Angel Ivy Wanja ‘I heart you miss advocate in the making’ I am going to be so proud of you that day you get called to the bar....promise to be sitting somewhere in the audience wherever it’s going to be wearing the widest smile on my face.

Moving on, this sequel on holiday pictures is about to end soon i promise and I’ll get in the 2013’ zone and stop being so last year....2012’ Jeeez I am still hang up on what that year did for me. I look in the mirror and am so happy because of how far i have come’ allow me to get a little bit nostalgic here’ so you see that smile you have that you take for granted....well please don’t. It has taken me several years to actually smile and not be conscious about it. Mid last year i made a choice to make right what i always felt was wrong. I fixed my smile and it felt so damn good. It might have cost me a pretty penny but i would do it again in a heartbeat.

Am all for self love. I believe that if there is anything i can do to perk me up...then it’s gotta get done if it’s within reach. Kirk Franklin; God bless this musical genius’ speaks to many of us in his songs when he talks about battles with self esteem....never feeling like you are good enough and all’ we all at some point felt like that but by God’s grace we are delivered from it and we start seeing ourselves in a different light.

Thank you God for making me smile again. That is why i knew i had to write a blog post about that change in me ‘So I leave y’all with snippets from my first day at Mombasa; a visit to Fort Jesus and Tamarind Reef  that gave me something to smile about.... Please share with me moments that made you smile and always remember “YOU LOOK SO MUCH BETTER WHEN YOU SMILE”....so much better

Xoxo

A LIL BIT OF SUNSHINE..........

Hello lovelies hope y’all are doing fine. I was receiving suggestions on how i can make this blog more interactive from my bestie a few days ago and i figured it would be such a good idea for y’all to have a forum where we can communicate.

My blog settings so i have been told are very hard to navigate...several lovely ladies who wanted to drop a comment on the blog made me aware of the difficulties. Lemmi now say I have tried to make it easier. For my blog followers it’s a piece of cake, there is no verification needed but for other guys kindly use your Google plus account. I appreciate the love and even the thought itself counts. I hope to hear from y’all soon.
So today i continue sharing snippets from last holiday. Before I left for Coast on what will forever be one of my greatest getaways, my gorgeous friend Grace Mutango and I had a chilled day out at the Mamba Village, Nairobi. The sun was out, the holiday magic was filling the air and we both were on Christmas break so we had to take advantage of that  golden opportunity.

My girl Gracie savours every bit of free time she gets coz it comes very rarely. Being a news anchor takes a lot of self discipline and hard work so I’ve learnt. They put in so many hours its freaking unbelievable. But kudos to this lady she handles all of it with a smile and still manages to look gorge always.

It’s always nice to check out places within your vicinity’ where you can go chill and reconnect. One of my resolutions this year was to be more adventurous...guess this is where i say ‘i would love to hear about your December escapades and if they are pocket friendly i could go check them out sometime and live up to my resolutions...

Cheers to the freaking weekend

BEACHES ARE MAGICAL..........

Dearies’
Hello there...how’s your Monday coming along? I sincerely hope its far much better than mine.........having been at work yesterday, today i feel so bloody lazy...good thing my boss hasn’t been around all day so i can just lounge around and pretend am working while indeed am looking at some fabulous blogs online.

January is almost over so let me keep my promise of sharing pictures from last December. Over  the holidays a very good friend of ours hosted us at her place in Mombasa and we had the time of our lives. My utmost thanks go to one Martha Njoki for being the hostess with the mostest. May God bless you so much girl. It is nice to know that there are people left out there with a heart of gold....thanks for hosting us during our entire stay at Mombasa and for being so gentle and kind. I heart you.

I will share these pictures in no particular order. I have already uploaded some on face book but i still feel the need to keep my followers in the loop. So on this particular day my pal Ester and i visited the famous Pirates Beach and had such a ball just walking around the beach, feeling the sand on our feet and tranquillity of the ocean breeze....i chose to wear an orange short suit which i got earlier on in the year and this felt like the perfect time to wear it’

I remember being particularly happy that day like i had no care in the world. I sometimes think whoever said the best things in life are free couldn’t be more right...like the serenity that clouds you as you take a walk on the beach and the sights you marvel at’ God indeed is wonderful; and you soon realize that every minute you step outside your own little world and see what he really is about.

As the day wound on... i went to the tattoo parlour and got a really cute one’ too bad it only lasted a few weeks. But hey you should have seen me flaunt it ‘ I seriously felt  like such a rock star. We both went back home that day with a feeling of peace deep down our hearts. Whoever also said beaches are magical was so damn right...they truly are........magical’

she rocks the shorts soooooooo well'
